ROLE TITLE:  Compliance Advisory Relationship Manager - Conduct of Business, Group Compliance

LOCATION: Molesworth Street with Hybrid Working

This role is being offered on a permanent basis.

Compliance & Assurance is an independent, second line of defence function within the wider Risk function. 

We are looking for a dynamic Regulatory Compliance Relationship Manager to join the Conduct of Business Team, with particular experience in assessing and monitoring Conduct regulation.

The role is required to provide support to business units and internal stakeholders on conduct regulation matters, including providing advice, critically assessing regulatory solutions and contributing towards project delivery. The role is key to our second line Compliance function with responsibility for Compliance engagement with Retail and other key business stakeholders. The Conduct Advisory Team is responsible for providing advice, guidance and oversight in respect of conduct regulations from a compliance perspective.

This is an exciting and challenging position with the opportunity to work within a team, whilst working closely with senior and specialist colleagues across the organisation.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO CAN:

*Constructively engage and manage senior management in key business relationships across Retail, to ensure that business areas are aware of the impact of new and existing regulations and key developments in their regulatory environment. *Build and maintain effective relationships with senior key stakeholders across the Bank, working in a co-operative and constructively challenging manner.  *Work with key stakeholders across the Group and its Subsidiaries to ensure all conduct of business and prudential risks are identified, assessed and effectively managed / mitigated and all regulatory requirements are met. *Assist with the identification, interpretation and analysis of existing and upstream conduct of business regulation and legislation within the scope of the Regulatory Compliance Universe, which may impact on the Group and its subsidiaries. *Identify conduct of business regulation risks and communicate these clearly and concisely to impacted business areas. *Provide relevant, consistent and timely risk appropriate advice and support to the business. *Influence and challenge senior stakeholders and represent a Compliance view at senior forums and committees. *Represent the Compliance function at key Risk governance fora and various Steering Committees.  *Participate in Compliance management meetings to ensure Compliance Programme is on track for delivery. *Provide relevant, consistent and timely risk appropriate advice and support to the business. *Manager review and challenge (4 eye check) of junior staff member's advices prior to sending to 1LOD and 2LOD. *Instil ownership of regulatory compliance risk within the 1st line Business Areas through targeted training and awareness initiatives. *Communicate complex regulatory themes through advice to business units, policy development and internal governance. *Critically evaluate solutions to regulatory challenges and provide robust, clear and professional advice. *Support the delivery of business projects and represent Compliance Advisory as a conduct of business regulation subject matter expert. *Proactively engage with business units to resolve complex, conduct of business regulatory matters. *Manage a variety of issues, respond to fast-paced deadlines and take responsibility for the ownership and completion of tasks to a high standard. *Review and assess Regulatory Compliance and Conduct Risk Frameworks and Policies in line with the Policy Governance Framework end engage with 1LOD/2LOD stakeholders on same.   *Proactively challenge internal Regulatory Compliance and Conduct Risk processes and practices to identify continuous improvements. *Support and embed a strong risk culture at all times throughout the organisation. *Review & challenge AIB Group policies and supporting regulatory gap analyses. *Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of AIB processes and organisational structure. *Support and embed a strong risk culture at all times throughout the organisation. *Lead, manage, motivate and oversee the team of skilled resources. *Deputise for the Head of team as required.

YOU WILL NEED TO SHOW US THAT YOU CAN/HAVE:

*Have a minimum of eight years compliance or regulatory experience within a Financial Services environment (Payments, Banking, Insurance, Credit), as part of a Financial Services/Banking Institution, or in an advisory, transformation, change, law or business consulting capacity. Relevant Professional qualification would be advantageous. *Strong technical knowledge in regulation, regulatory strategy, Central Bank of Ireland and European Regulator rules and guidance procedures, existing and new, such as the Consumer Protection Code, Code of Conduct on Mortgage Arrears, SME Regulations, PSD II, MiFID, Central Credit Register, Mortgage Credit Regulation, Consumer Credit Act, Consumer Credit Regulation and key Risk Framework methodologies. *A detailed understanding of aspects of current and upcoming regulation with an ability to provide accurate advice, review and challenge to the business. *Highly motivated, with a proven ability to work on own initiative within a challenging and dynamic work environment, with excellent communication skills (both spoken and written), interpersonal skills and people skills. *Have a proven experience in managing relationships with business stakeholders and/or regulators.
