We are seeking a commercial property solicitor or experienced Chartered Legal Executive, ideally with three or more years’ post qualification experience, to join either our branch in St George’s Place Canterbury or main Margate office in Margate. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Contracts subject to planning Sales and purchases Asset sales and purchases Overages and options Commercial lending Leases - granting and assignment Running your own transactions day to day, whilst also assisting with the team’s property development caseload Acting for developers, occupiers, high net worth individuals, retailers, lenders and borrowers, and Developing and, latterly, growing our commercial client offering. Working from home is often effective and we believe in its benefits, so have a permanent and occasional working from home policy. You would be welcome to propose up to 40% home working. You may be considering re-locating to the East Kent coast or one of the inland towns and villages. If so, we will pay the buying and selling conveyancing fees of a successful candidate and assist with introductions to our extensive network of local estate agents. Thanet and Canterbury have a wide range of excellent schools that we can tell you about if you have school age children. Your salary will be competitive and negotiable depending on experience. The position is permanent, and your hours will be Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm if you take on the role on a full-time basis.
