Job Title:
Paralegal Assistant - Commercial Litigation/Government Contracts

Experience Information:
- Minimum of one year of related work experience, or equivalent
- Paralegal Assistant or legal support experience preferred
- Practice group-specific experience preferred
- Two-year or four-year degree preferred
- Paralegal Certificate a plus

Salary Information:
- Compensation range of $51,860 to $73,810 annually, dependent on qualifications and experience
- Eligible for annual discretionary bonus

H1: Join the Perkins Coie Law Firm as a Paralegal Assistant with our Commercial Litigation/Government Contracts group!

H2: Essential Functions and Schedule

The Paralegal Assistant will assist paralegals, lawyers, and clients with a variety of duties under supervision. This position also promotes and maintains the goodwill and reputation of the firm. The schedule offers flexibility and a hybrid work arrangement, with a minimum of two days per week in office.

Bullets:

- Provide administrative and paralegal support to specific attorneys in the Government Contracts practice group
- Create, format, and edit files in accordance with attorneys' instructions
- Prepare and finalize correspondence, client bills, filings, and other documents
- Coordinate with firm personnel on issues affecting client matters and attorney activity
- Review pre-bills, cross-reference attorney entries, and recommend edits for attorney review
- Prepare and update client budgets
- Handle new client/matter paperwork and manage conflicts
- Conduct factual research and analysis and prepare tailored work products
- Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and third parties
- Manage attorney file organization and maintenance
- Locate and organize documents for witness interviews, meetings, depositions, hearings, and other events
- Create and maintain electronic and hardcopy document binders
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating events, trainings, and travel for attorneys
- Help with time entry, expense reimbursement requests, calendaring, and other administrative tasks

Specific Skills Required:
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Typing speed of 50 words per minute with accuracy
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple assignments under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma required, with a minimum of one year of related work experience or equivalent
- Paralegal Assistant or legal support experience preferred

- Two-year or four-year degree preferred
- Paralegal Certificate a plus
