OPSWAT, a global leader in critical infrastructure cybersecurity, is seeking a Commercial Counsel to join our legal team in Tampa. As a Commercial Counsel, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, global environment and make a direct impact on OPSWAT's business. You will provide legal advice and support for a variety of commercial matters, including drafting and negotiating agreements, staying up-to-date on industry laws and regulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. We are looking for someone with a JD from an accredited law school, 7 years of relevant legal experience, and a service-oriented attitude.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Providing legal advice and support for various commercial transactions, such as software licensing and vendor agreements - Staying up-to-date on industry laws and regulations to ensure compliance - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve legal operations and processes - Working closely with global teams on operational matters, including compliance and data protection
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school and state bar admission - 7 years of relevant legal experience - Experience with commercial transactions and a willingness to learn and adapt - Familiarity with B2B sales environment - Service-oriented attitude and growth mindset - Ability to handle complex legal issues efficiently - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines - Team player with strong problem-solving skills - Flexibility to work in different time zones
