Job Description
The Commercial Counsel (Contractor) role at Scaled Agile is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company and make an impact in the world of business agility. This role will support the company’s growth by providing transactional support to sales teams, reviewing and negotiating complex commercial agreements, and helping evolve the company’s contract management and privacy processes. The ideal candidate will have a J.D. degree, at least 2 years of experience as a practicing attorney, and a strong background in commercial contract analysis and negotiation, preferably within the technology industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, negotiate, and draft inbound and outbound commercial agreements with enterprise customers and company vendors - Support ongoing improvement of company standard form agreements and legal processes - Evolve and optimize company data protection processes and agreements - Support company growth by providing outstanding transactional support to worldwide sales teams
Qualifications:
- J.D. degree with admission to and good standing in a U.S. state bar - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably with in-house experience - Strong background in commercial contract analysis and negotiation, preferably within the technology industry - Familiarity with supporting sales teams and efficiently shepherding deals through monthly and quarterly sales cycles - Knowledge and practical understanding of current international data privacy regulations - A business-oriented approach to handling legal complexity and risk - Impeccable standards of ethics and integrity - Curiosity
