Law Firm Seeking Experienced Closer - Full-Time Position

Are you a detail-oriented individual with experience in the title, real estate, mortgage, loan or banking industry? Our law firm is currently seeking 1-2 highly qualified candidates for immediate openings in our closer position. With a focus on customer service and teamwork, our ideal candidate will have at least two years of closing experience and proficiency in the Qualia software platform.
As a closer, you will work with multiple internal and external parties to ensure a smooth closing process for our clients. Our firm offers a competitive salary and eligibility for performance-based and year-end bonuses. We also provide the opportunity for experienced closers to work partially from home. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review legal documents such as agreements, contracts, deeds, titles, mortgages, and liens - Coordinate with attorneys and clients in a confidential and respectful manner - Conduct research on real estate transaction laws and regulations - Create timelines and adhere to deadlines for timely closings - Prepare CD's, settlement statements, and all closing documents - Ensure all payoffs are collected and processed correctly - Issue title policies for owners and lenders - Prioritize multiple tasks in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment - Review and confirm accuracy of pre-closing process - Record documents, disburse closing proceeds, and complete post-closing tasks - Communicate effectively with lenders and other parties involved in the closing process - Provide assistance to callers, draft correspondence, and handle mail
Qualifications:
- Degree in paralegal or legal studies, or paralegal certificate, or 2 years of experience in real estate transactions - Familiarity with standard closing practices and procedures in the real estate settlement industry - Excellent communication skills, both oral and written - Ability to handle challenging clients and resolve conflicts quickly and professionally - Strong organizational skills and ability to manage high-volume transactions - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and closing software systems - Experience with Qualia is a plus - Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of delegated tasks - Orientation towards continual learning, growth, and change
