We are currently seeking a Clean Energy Associate to join our team and help us advance our clients' clean energy objectives.
Keyes & Fox strongly supports remote working arrangements and the majority of our attorneys work remotely. We are open to hiring candidates from California, Colorado, or any other state, as long as they are a member in good standing of the Bar and possess a juris doctor degree from a well-respected law school. However, California bar admission is preferred.
In addition to a strong educational background, we are looking for candidates with excellent persuasive and technical writing skills, keen attention to detail, and strong legal research, analytical, and negotiation skills. A demonstrated interest in clean energy and transportation electrification is also required.
Ideally, candidates will have two to four years of experience working on clean energy or related transactions and agreements, and/or litigation or regulatory advocacy. Previous experience in a law firm, government entity, or in-house legal role is preferred. Familiarity with California wholesale markets for energy, RECs, and capacity is also desirable.
As a Clean Energy Associate, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating PPAs, EPCs, and real property rights agreements for renewable energy, storage, and electrification transactions. You will also be responsible for analyzing regulatory and statutory compliance obligations and assisting clients with required filings and other documentation.
