Civil Litigation Paralegal at Leading Law Firm in Canton and Akron - Full-Time Opportunity with Competitive Salary and Benefits
Responsibilities: - Attend court trials, hearings, and mediations to present evidence through electronic trial presentation programs - Prepare attorneys and court documents for hearings, depositions, mediation, arbitration, and trials - Request, review, summarize, index, and/or prepare document productions and exhibits - Calendar deadlines - E-file and/or file physical documents with state and federal courts - Word processing, preparing, and modifying documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos, and emails using Microsoft 365 products - General clerical duties including photocopying, scanning, faxing, and mailing
Requirements: - 2 years of experience as a paralegal with a paralegal degree or certification - Familiarity with legal documents and terminology - Proficiency with Microsoft 365, with special attention to PowerPoint presentations - Ability to work with legal technology such as transcription software - Excellent time-management and organizational skills - Strong written and oral communication skills - Discretion and attention to detail - Teamwork capabilities
