Law Firm: **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** Job Title: Civil Litigation Associate Experience: Minimum 1-year California state civil litigation defense experience
Role Responsibilities: - Analyze and assess case value for early resolution - Create and execute a litigation plan for all phases of litigation - Assist Partner in handling various types of civil litigation - Conduct legal research on relevant issues throughout the litigation process - Maintain communication with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel - Conduct fact investigation and formulate discovery and investigation plans - Attend depositions and draft meet and confer letters - Represent clients at hearings, trials, mediations, and other proceedings - Prepare clients for depositions and other applicable hearings - Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
Requirements: - Juris Doctorate degree and current good standing with CA State bar - Minimum of 1-year California state litigation experience as an associate attorney in Civil Defense Litigation department - Strong research and analytical skills - Strong time-management and communication skills - Knowledge and expertise with task code and insurance billing guidelines is a plus - Knowledge and expertise in Labor & Employment law is a plus
