The Chief Compliance Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the Company's compliance with all applicable laws and regulations across various areas of the business. This individual will also be responsible for promoting a culture of compliance and aligning business objectives with regulatory requirements.
H2: Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a regulatory monitoring program to ensure ongoing compliance with laws and regulations - Collaborate with various departments to build consensus and promote a culture of compliance - Analyze statutory and legal changes and determine their impact on all lines of business - Act as a liaison between the company and regulatory agencies - Manage broker appointments and licenses - Monitor bulletins, circulars, and alerts to ensure compliance - Collect and analyze data to identify trends and generate reports - Assist in creating compliance reports and implementing controls related to compliance and risk management - Participate in cross-functional initiatives to ensure compliance in all areas of the company - Review and ensure compliance with contracts and agreements - Create, review, and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures - Identify and document processes and ensure compliance with reporting requirements
H2: Requirements
- 7-12 years of experience in a legal or compliance position at an insurance carrier - Bachelor's degree required, J.D., advanced degree, or industry certifications preferred - Property and Casualty experience, preferably in personal lines - Strong communication and leadership skills - Ability to build consensus and foster collaborative relationships - Experience with technology solutions for compliance oversight - In-depth understanding of compliance requirements for admitted and surplus lines insurance and corporate compliance matters - Familiarity with international regulatory requirements a plus - Strong written and oral communication skills - Strong project management skills - Highest level of integrity and honesty
H2: Salary Information
The base salary for this role ranges from $200k-$225k, based on a full-time work schedule. The final compensation package will depend on job-related skills and experience, geographic location, alignment with market data, and equity among other team members with comparable experience.
