Job Title: Managing Attorney for Centralized Intake Unit at Atlanta Legal Aid Society
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience strongly preferred

Salary: $65,100 (may increase or decrease based on relevant experience) plus $4,000 annual manager stipend

Responsibilities: - Develop, manage, and ensure quality and efficacy of Centralized Intake Unit - Create work plan and workflows within case management system - Hire staff as needed - Distribute and supervise work of attorney and paralegal staff - Hold staff meetings and administer performance reviews - Foster growth and professional development - Coordinate with Deputy Director, Director of Advocacy, and Director of Pro Bono - Coordinate with outreach coordinator and fellow managing attorneys - Work with innovation and technology team to meet technology needs - Stay up to date with trends in counties served - Maintain limited caseload providing advice and brief service
Qualifications: - Georgia bar license or eligibility for next Georgia bar exam - Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience strongly preferred - Experience managing staff, including supervising and mentoring attorneys and paralegals - Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills - Ability to work in a collaborative, hybrid team model - Appreciation of diversity - Innovative and creative problem solver - Self-starter with focus on customer service and client-centered experience - Prior experience starting new units and projects preferred - Demonstrated commitment to public service - Participation in law school clinics and trial advocacy courses preferred - Previous work with low-income individuals and knowledge of poverty law preferred - Proficiency in languages other than English highly valued
