Corporate Attorney - Wind & Solar Power: Job Description and Salary Information
Position: Corporate Attorney - Wind & Solar Power Company: PowerWorks Department: Legal Location: Boise, Idaho
Job Description: - Seeking an ambitious corporate attorney with a J.D. law degree - College classes in energy, environmental law, and permitting are helpful - 0 to 2 years of experience preferred, reflected in starting salary - Responsible for providing analysis and counsel on legal, policy, environmental, and energy issues specific to the wind and solar power industry - Handles federal, state, and local wind project permitting - Oversees contract administration, including purchase/sale agreements, power contracts, land leases, equipment procurement, construction, operations, partnership agreements, and confidentiality agreements - Prepares project financial closing documents and loan documents - Analyzes case law and provides recommendations - Develops and recommends company policy and positions on legal issues - Prepares legal pleadings, motions, discovery, stipulations, etc. - Writes, reviews, and edits reports, contracts, opinions, correspondence, etc. - Familiar with employee benefit plans and labor law - Knowledge of human resources, payroll, and cost accounting
