Job Description
The CMO Compliance Manager will have primary responsibility for a number of critical programs in the compliance office of the department of Contracting and Corporate Affairs. The manager will be responsible for disseminating information and, where appropriate, implementing all federal and state regulatory and government program updates so that CMO, ACO and MHMO programs are in compliance with the latest laws and regulatory guidance. The position also conducts internal reviews and audits for compliance with CMO contracts, government regulations and delegated vendors. The compliance manager assists the Associate Vice President, conduct compliance program risk assessments, develop annual compliance program plans and work plans and audits against those plans.
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred. At least one degree in healthcare or related discipline. CHC certification a plus. Five years' experience in managed care operations, health care compliance, or related field. Broad knowledge of regulatory and governmental agencies and their impact on managed care operation. Ability to analyze and act upon complex regulatory/legal documents. Working knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security rules.
Experience in conducting risk assessments and investigations. Well organized and attentive to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including interviewing, active listening, and presentation skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships throughout the organization. Should be a team player and self-motivated.
