Law firm is seeking an experienced Business Transactional & Estate Planning Associate Attorney to join our Portage office. The successful candidate should have 6 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, contract drafting/review and general corporate advising, as well as experience and interest in estate planning and providing strategic solutions.
### Responsibilities
* Prepare and negotiate various transactional documentation, including purchase and sale agreements, loan document, joint venture agreement, shareholder agreements, and operating agreements. * Manage and develop a business and transactional practice in the Kalamazoo/Portage market. * Interpret and provide guidance on laws, rulings and regulations governing businesses. * Stay apprised of legal and regulatory developments affecting business clients. * Assist clients in drafting and implementing legal documents. * Assist clients in determining the specific distribution of their estate. * Advise clients about retirement plans, life insurance policies and charitable contributions.
### Requirements
* J.D., licensed to practice in Michigan. * Excellent diplomacy, academic credentials and writing skills. * Excellent communication, organizational and strategic thinking skills. * Analytical ability and strong attention to detail. * Ability to multi-task and manage a large volume of concurrent priorities. * Computer skills.
