Job Description:
The Seattle office of Perkins Coie is seeking a midlevel litigation associate with three to five years of experience in complex business litigation. The ideal candidate will have exceptional credentials and experience managing large and sophisticated litigation matters. Judicial clerkship experience is preferred but not required, and at least two years of experience in a litigation position at a firm is required.
Responsibilities:
- Represent a wide range of businesses and individuals in federal and state court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution venues - Work closely with experienced, collaborative practitioners on a local and national level - Manage large and sophisticated litigation matters - Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents - Communicate effectively with clients and provide strategic legal advice - Attend court hearings and depositions as needed
Qualifications:
- Three to five years of experience in complex business litigation - Judicial clerkship experience preferred but not required - At least two years of experience in a litigation position at a firm required - Excellent academic credentials - Superb written and oral advocacy skills - Experience managing large and sophisticated litigation matters
