Salary Range: $100,000 - $145,000 (final offer dependent on location, experience, and skillset)
Cooley, a leading law firm, is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join their Data Delivery team. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and excellent benefits package. The ideal candidate will have experience in a data-focused role, preferably in a legal services environment.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various practice groups and business functions to identify data needs and create actionable insights for firm-wide decision making - Understand and utilize the firm's enterprise data catalogue and external data integrations - Contribute to the development and expansion of business intelligence analytics capabilities - Promote and enhance the Business Intelligence function across all relevant business areas - Manipulate reporting tools such as Power BI and SSRS to develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations - Develop training curriculum for end-users and provide live training sessions - Work with Enterprise Data Architects and Engineers to improve data integrations and governance - Identify data stewardship tasks and develop processes for data cleaning and management - Catalog data sources and develop reporting templates for regular requirements
Skills and Experience:
Required:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, iManage, and other firm applications - 4 years of experience in a data-focused role, preferably in a legal services environment - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills - Knowledge of SQL and proficiency with business intelligence platforms - Experience with SQL Server Management Studio and cloud systems such as Azure or AWS
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree - Technical background in legal data systems and proficiency in SQL-based data handling approaches - Experience with Elite 3E Accounting software

- Analytical and critical thinking skills - Ability to communicate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a geographically disparate environment - Excellent customer service, relationship management, and presentation skills - Ability to take initiative while following department standards
