Business Development and Marketing Specialist at Law Firm in Los Angeles
Sheppard Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP, a global Am Law 50 law firm, is seeking a highly motivated Business Development and Marketing Specialist to join our team. This is a remote/hybrid position, with the expectation to be in the office on an as needed basis. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of relevant marketing experience and possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently with multiple deadlines. This position will report to the Senior Business Development and Marketing Manager and will support core marketing activities for the Real Estate, Energy, Land Use & Environmental practice, Energy industry team, and related practices.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the collection of practice/team experience - Keep marketing materials for designated practices/teams up to date and create new materials as necessary - Research industries, clients, and prospects - Update content on firm’s intranet pages, including marketing materials, business plans, presentations, and other resources - Update practice group and team rosters on website and Outlook distribution lists - Draft and prepare pitch materials and RFP responses - Assist with developing marketing plan efforts across offices and support implementation of the marketing plans for each group - Provide marketing and operational support to sub teams within the practice and industry team - Work with the events team to strategize, plan, and manage programs and webinars for clients and prospective clients - Manage the firm’s sponsorship of relevant conferences - Track and report progress of marketing and business development goals
Qualifications and Experience:
- 3 years of relevant marketing experience - Bachelor’s Degree required - Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Programs - Knowledge of InterAction and Vuture is a plus
Work Environment:
- Fun, supportive, transparent, and fast-paced environment - Remote/hybrid position, with the expectation to be in the office on an as needed basis - Overtime may be required as job duties demand
Travel Requirements:
- Minimal, less than 10%
Salary Information:
- Pay range: $35.00 to $44.00 per hour
