Job Description
Business Development Specialist - Join our team at Norris McLaughlin PA, a leading law firm located in Bridgewater, NJ. We are seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist to support our firm's growth and development. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Essential Functions:
- Research, draft and track presentations, proposals, and RFP responses to generate business leads. - Follow-up with attorneys for status updates on new business opportunities. - Assist with the development and execution of business development plans for practice groups and individuals. - Work directly with attorneys as a business development coach. - Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities in key industries and with target clients. - Analyze competitors and their service offerings to help raise the profile of our practice groups. - Coordinate internal business development newsletter materials and distribute monthly newsletter. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficiency and synchronization in business development efforts. - Manage and execute conference and tradeshow support and client-facing social events. - Coordinate events and sponsorships with attorneys and external organizations.
Other Duties/Responsibilities:
- Understand functionality of office equipment and systems. - Plan and execute firm communications and coordinate efforts with other offices. - Attend educational workshops and join professional associations to build networks and stay updated on industry trends. - Perform other duties as assigned. - Maintain regular office attendance.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business required. - 3 years of business development or strategy experience within a professional services or law firm preferred. - Superior research and writing skills. - Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt in a dynamic work environment. - Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills. - Advanced computer literacy, including proficiency with MS Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
