Responsibilities:
- Use legal knowledge and experience to achieve resolution of client issues through negotiation and/or litigation - Conduct legal research and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations - Prepare legal documents and represent clients in legal proceedings - Act in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act - Develop strategies and arguments for cases - Maintain relationships with clients and promote firm services - Mentor and assist less experienced associates - Continuously stay updated on legal training and requirements
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) - Current, valid state license to practice law - Strong knowledge of relevant laws and legal procedures - Ability to analyze and interpret complex documents - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong organizational, writing, and analytical skills - Exposure to or knowledge of consumer protection statutes and regulations is a plus - High-volume firm or practice area experience is a plus
Work Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods and operate standard office equipment - Travel to various court locations may be required - Normal office conditions with moderate noise level

We are looking for an Attorney with a Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) and 2-4 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and training. Experience in a high-volume firm or practice area is a plus. Additionally, exposure to or knowledge of consumer protection statutes and regulations is desirable.

With limited assistance, you will develop strategies and arguments for cases, and negotiate with individuals to achieve a final resolution.
In addition to your legal duties, you will also have the opportunity to mentor and assist less experienced associates, market firm services to potential clients, and represent the firm at public and business gatherings.
To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents, as well as respond effectively and discreetly to sensitive inquiries and complaints. You should also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to develop effective working relationships with clients, co-workers, and court systems.
