Barrick, Switzer, Long, Balsley and Van Evera, LLP. is a mid-size law firm currently seeking multiple full-time attorneys for Bankruptcy Law, Commercial Litigation, Marital and Family Law and Municipal Law.
We are looking for an attorney who is a self-starter and eager to grow their legal career. The ideal candidate must have 0-5 years of experience and be licensed to practice law.
The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Independently managing a caseload - Ability to manage full case handling responsibilities, including all facets of discovery and trial - Drafting pleadings, motions, interrogatories and other legal documents - Working closely with other attorneys, team members, and Partners on legal projects - Regularly handling court appearances and depositions - Communicating with clients and providing status reports - Representing clients in court or before government agencies - Preparing and drafting legal documents on behalf of clients - Negotiating settlements for legal disputes - Complying with all legal standards and regulations
