Look no further - Alpert Schreyer Injury Attorneys is seeking an associate attorney with 1-3 years of experience to join our highly respected (AV-rated) law firm in suburban Washington.
As an associate attorney, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our team of trial-proven attorneys and be mentored by colleagues who always achieve the best possible outcome for our clients. We specialize in defending a wide variety of DUI and criminal cases, and our successful candidate will have trial experience, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent writing abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs - Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies - Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings - Oversee paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff - Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
Qualifications:
- Over 3 years of experience representing clients in a law firm - Bilingual is a plus - Ability to use Microsoft Office is required - Must be a member of your local bar association - active member preferred - Well-versed in legal research software (Westlaw/Lexis) - Required Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school; representation of clients for at least 2 years a plus - Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must
Compensation:
- $90,000 commission
