Role and Impact:
- As Intellectual Property Counsel, you will report to the VP, Assistant General Counsel and provide IP advice and support to Bio-Rad's global Life Sciences Group. - Responsibilities include developing and protecting intellectual property rights, managing patent prosecution, drafting and negotiating IP contracts, conducting freedom-to-operate studies, providing IP litigation support, and handling day-to-day patent/trademark-related requests from the business. - You will also conduct IP training for the business, making a significant impact on the company's overall success.
Requirements:
- Education: JD from an accredited Law School and Patent Bar admission. A degree in a Life Science field is preferred. - Work Experience: 5-7 years of experience in Intellectual Property Law, including both law firm and in-house experience in a life science or clinical diagnostics company. - Strong writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. - Ability to take ownership of projects and collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.
