The Montgomery County Attorney's Office is responsible for providing legal advice and representation to the county government, which employs over 2,200 people. The office has three divisions and a staff of approximately 30, including lawyers, support staff, and investigators. The county is located in Conroe, TX, a rapidly growing area with a current population of around 700,000.
The Attorney I position requires applicants to be licensed to practice law in the state of Texas. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment are essential. The candidate must also possess strong communication, writing, research, and organizational skills. The ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks within tight deadlines is also necessary, as well as the willingness to take on any administrative duties required to effectively represent clients.
As an entry level position, the Attorney I will work under the supervision of experienced attorneys in various sections, including Litigation, Real Property, and Government Affairs.
