As an Associate in the Litigation department at our law firm, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of cases in the Connectivity, Privacy & Information - Copyright practice area. We are currently seeking an experienced associate with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join our team in either San Francisco, Silicon Valley, or Washington D.C.

- Latham's Copyright practice is highly regarded in the market and works with a diverse range of clients, from startups to leading technology companies. - Our practice covers a wide range of matters, including providing strategic counsel to technology and media companies, as well as litigating high-profile music-industry and infringement claims. - We are at the forefront of cutting-edge cases involving generative AI technology, providing our associates with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in this emerging area.
Responsibilities
- Assist with all aspects of litigation, including legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, and preparing for trial. - Work closely with partners and senior associates to develop case strategy and manage client relationships. - Collaborate with other departments and practice areas, such as Intellectual Property and Technology Transactions, to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in copyright litigation. - Strong academic credentials, including a J.D. from an accredited law school. - Admission to the State Bar in California, Washington D.C., or the ability to waive into the State Bar. - Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. - Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
