Law Firm Seeks Associate/Senior Associate for Pensions Team in Manchester Office
The law firm of TLT is seeking an experienced Associate or Senior Associate to join their growing national Pensions team. This role, based in the Manchester office, offers a competitive salary and the opportunity for flexible working with TLT's progressive approach "TLT World". The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, including FTSE companies, multinationals, UK corporates, central government, pension providers, benefit consultancies, and trustees.
Role Responsibilities:
- Work on a varied caseload, spanning a broad range of pension matters - Advise on all aspects of pension schemes, including employer and trustee advisory work, buy-ins and buy-outs, master trusts, SIPP and SSAS, with a focus on multinational clients and central government - Collaborate with other TLT national teams, including litigation, financial services regulatory, corporate, employment, commercial, insolvency, and social housing - Develop expertise in a wide range of pensions law, including public sector pensions and SIPP and SSAS - Work directly with clients to provide pensions advice - Collaborate with Partners and Senior Knowledge Lawyers on complex work and long-term projects - Support junior team members in their development and career growth - Participate in business development initiatives
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered), ideally with 2-5 years PQE in a pensions-focused role - Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills - Ability to provide succinct legal advice while understanding and anticipating the commercial needs of clients - Commercially aware with enthusiasm for business development - Experience in SIPP or SSAS work is desirable
