Job Description for Job Post:
Under relatively close direction, perform a variety of specific professional engineering tasks of an analysis, design, or test nature. Apply theoretical knowledge and engineering techniques to the solution of basic analytical engineering problems. Select and/or modify proven methods, mathematical formula, previous design and test information, handbook data or other available information related to the assignment. Prepare and complete the design of components or portions of moderately complex functional systems working from overall operational, space, functional and similar design requirements. Design and document or select commercially available equipment, coordinate design results with other design groups, evaluate the merits of the design under the direction of more senior engineers and make the changes and compromises indicated. Establish test procedures in accordance with test plans and test requirements. Some travel may be required.
Required Qualifications for Job Post:
BS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, relevant course work in fluid mechanics, compressible flow and/or thermodynamics of propulsion systems.
Experience with industry standard fluid/ thermal and/or mechanical analysis software. Domestic travel may be required
Preferred Qualifications for Job Post:
-Experience with designing propulsion systems for class projects, internships or in any job related capacity.
-Experience in authoring performance specifications and/or statement of work for propulsion systems and components.
-Experience with review of design analysis, manufacturing documentation, authoring test procedures and general follow of fluid component contracts
-Ability to prepare and review technical presentations
