Silicon Ranch is seeking an experienced real estate attorney to join our Legal team as Associate Legal Counsel, Real Estate and Project Development. This is a full-time position based in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience as a transactional real estate lawyer at a top-tier law firm or corporate legal department.
As Associate Legal Counsel, Real Estate and Project Development, you will be responsible for managing and leading aspects of the land functions for both the company and our solar energy projects. This includes drafting, negotiating and administering real estate contracts, managing title and ownership issues, and working with project development teams to ensure clean title policies. You will also have the opportunity to work on other legal matters outside of real estate as needed.
We are looking for a proactive and communicative individual with strong legal writing skills and the ability to work independently. The candidate must have a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school and be an active member of the bar in at least one state, with the ability to obtain bar admission in Tennessee.

As Associate Legal Counsel, Real Estate and Project Development, you will:
- Manage and lead land functions for both the company and our solar energy projects - Draft, negotiate, and administer real estate contracts, including option agreements, lease agreements, and purchase agreements - Manage and mitigate title issues and de-risk real estate assets - Secure title insurance for the company's real estate portfolio - Work with project development teams to ensure clean title policies - Assist with real estate-related due diligence efforts and M&A activities - Collaborate with outside counsel, opposing counsel, and title companies - Provide general legal services outside of real estate matters as needed
Qualifications:
- J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school - Active bar admission in good standing in at least one state, with the ability to obtain bar admission in Tennessee - Minimum of 4 years of experience as a transactional real estate lawyer at a top-tier law firm or corporate legal department - Experience managing commercial real estate matters and contracts - Strong academic background - Ability to proactively identify problems and provide creative legal and business solutions - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of legal sophistication - Accurate and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
