Summary:
Silicon Ranch, a leading provider of renewable energy solutions, is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel to join their team in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate will have a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school and at least 4 years of experience negotiating and administering construction and equipment procurement contracts. This role will involve managing and leading the legal function for the company and its solar energy projects, including drafting and negotiating contracts, advising on legal and regulatory risks, and managing outside counsel. The candidate must have strong communication and time-management skills, as well as the ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, negotiate, and administer engineering, procurement, and construction agreements for solar and energy storage projects - Advise on legal and regulatory risks for the EPC and operations business unit - Develop and implement improvements to contracting processes and tools - Assist with project finance matters related to construction and management - Manage construction and equipment-related due diligence efforts - Supervise outside counsel as needed - Provide general legal services for the company as needed
Qualifications:
- J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school - Active bar admission in at least one state, with ability to obtain Tennessee bar admission - Minimum of 4 years of experience negotiating and administering construction and equipment procurement contracts - Strong academic background from reputable law school - Ability to proactively identify and solve problems - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization - Strong attention to detail and organization skills - Ability to manage multiple projects and work well with others - Comfortable in a fast-paced corporate environment
