Overview:
Jackson Hewitt is seeking an Associate General Counsel – Labor & Employment to join their team. This full-time, hybrid position offers competitive compensation and opportunities for advancement within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience practicing employment law and strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations. This position requires a Bachelor's Degree and Juris Doctor from a nationally recognized law school, as well as bar admission in Florida or another state and authorization to practice in-house in Florida.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with HR to advise on a variety of employment and labor matters - Stay up-to-date on employment-related developments and promote compliance - Collaborate with stakeholders and departments throughout the organization - Draft and review employment-related agreements and policies - Resolve employment-related litigation matters and establish best practices for prevention
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree and Juris Doctor from a nationally recognized and ABA accredited law school - Bar admission in Florida or another state and authorization to practice in-house in Florida - Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing employment law - Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations - Experience with compliance audits and representing parties in administrative matters - Exceptional communication and organizational skills
