Job Description:

The base salary for this position ranges from $230,000 to $290,000, with the opportunity for additional incentives. The Associate General Counsel will provide legal support and counsel for commercial real estate, construction, and general corporate matters. This includes advising on transaction structuring, negotiating with clients and outside counsel, and managing claims and litigation. The role also involves staying informed on legal trends and developments and providing guidance to company leadership. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor degree, current admission to a State Bar Association, and experience with both general corporate matters and commercial real estate transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel and support for commercial real estate, construction, and general corporate matters - Negotiate with clients and outside counsel on transaction structuring - Manage claims and litigation matters and recommend legal strategies - Stay informed on legal trends and developments - Advise company leadership on legal issues impacting their areas of responsibility - Manage and evaluate outside counsel - Oversee legal department team members - Monitor and maintain continuing education requirements and State Bar license
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree and current admission to a State Bar Association - High level of knowledge and expertise in general corporate matters and commercial real estate transactions - Excellent communication and critical thinking skills - Ability to creatively solve legal issues and establish positive business relationships - Strong team player with a reliable work ethic - Litigation experience is a plus
