Job Description:
- Serve as a trusted legal advisor to Real Estate Services and Corporate Facilities teams - Review, draft, negotiate, and advise on a variety of real estate-related agreements - Interpret complex commercial leases and advise on related rights and responsibilities - Prepare and negotiate leases, amendments, renewals, and other legal documents - Provide legal advice to HFH leaders regarding real estate matters - Manage outside counsel and represent HFH in legal disputes related to real estate transactions - Stay updated on relevant real estate laws and regulations - Collaborate with other departments and levels of organization personnel - Additional attorney responsibilities as needed
Experience/Skills Required:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in real estate matters with a Juris Doctor Degree and license to practice law in the State of Michigan - Advisory experience with senior executives and management professionals - High-level analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills - Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines - Strong attention to detail and proficiency in conducting legal research - Excellent organizational skills and proficiency in legal writing and documentation
Position Requirements:
- Juris Doctor Degree (JD) from an accredited law school - Licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan - Healthcare Law experience preferred, including familiarity with relevant laws and regulations
