Check us out here: **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***You’ll Report To: Sr. Content Director, Hunker A typical day as an Associate Editor might include: Pitch and write a variety of articles, including quick news items, in-depth/analytical takes on news or trends, profiles, home tours, shopping guides, or informational articles. Pitch and write design/decor pieces that have potential to perform well on both search and social platforms. Find and work with top-notch contributors. Participate in team brainstorms; contribute ideas for new content, social media, video. Participate in conversations pertaining to traffic and analytics, offering strategic insight and suggestions. Able to enthusiastically handle requests and assignments from our Senior Director of Content and VP of Content . You’ll be successful if you are a team player who is flexible and collaborative when it comes to our often-evolving strategies. What You Have: 2 years working in editorial, preferably for a digital publisher. Proven experience writing in the home space, or adjacent topic. Flawless spelling and grammar Basic Photoshop skills Ability to juggle multiple assignments at once and handle quick turnarounds Excellent verbal and written communication. Not afraid to wear multiple hats - no job being too small or too large. We're casual and informal but we work hard and work responsibly. A pleasant and supportive demeanor goes a long way.
