Job Summary:
Pratt & Whitney, a leader in the aerospace industry, is seeking an Associate Director & Counsel to join their legal team in a hybrid role. This position offers the opportunity to provide legal counsel to Pratt & Whitney's Operations department, including managing OEM and aftermarket servicing sites globally. The ideal candidate will have a J.D. degree, 5 years of legal experience, and good standing with a state bar association. This role offers a competitive salary range of $147,000 USD - $295,000 USD, as well as benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and more.

Responsibilities:
- Identify and address legal risks in a business-centric manner - Coordinate with other subject matter experts and stakeholders - Support contractual negotiations and dispute resolution efforts - Understand and advise on compliance with laws, policies, and procedures - Provide high visibility and strategic value to the Operations organization - Foster strong partnerships with clients and effectively manage outside counsel
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) and 5 years of legal experience - Good standing with a state bar association and willingness to complete in-house counsel registration if not registered in Connecticut - Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for security clearance - Experience in environmental, health & safety, real estate, construction, and/or mergers & acquisitions preferred - Strong problem-solving and communication skills - Ability to work proactively and strategically - Team player with the ability to interact effectively with multiple levels of the organization

- Employees in hybrid roles will work both onsite and offsite - Regular onsite work required in East Hartford, CT - Specific ratio of onsite/offsite work to be determined with leader
Salary Range: $147,000 USD - $295,000 USD
