JOB OVERVIEW Manage the day-to-day administration of the Counseling Center whose primary function is two-fold: training for the field of professional psychology and providing psychological services to students of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. The Associate Director of Clinical Services carries key administrative responsibilities for the department and functions as the backup administrator to the Director.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS *Responsible for the overall direction of the Counseling Center and coordination with the university community (Clinical Services, Outreach, and Community Engagement). *Prepare, submit and administer the departmental annual budget, as well as authorize and approve expenditures, allocation of funds, and hiring process. *Provide support of the American Psychological Association (APA) Accredited Internship Training Program. *Develop and maintain strong communication with all members of the multidisciplinary team; including coordinators of the AOD Services, Outreach, Equity and Inclusion, Testing, Assistant Director of Training, Directors of Student Affairs and the Associate Vice President. *Provide clinical supervision for graduate trainees. *May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.). *Perform related duties based on departmental need. REQUIRED EDUCATION Doctoral Degree of Philosophy (Ph.D.), Doctorate of Psychology (Psy.D.) or Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.).
REQUIRED TRAININGS/CERTIFICATIONS *Must be licensed or licensed eligible as a psychologist, social worker, or clinical counselor in the State of Ohio. *License must be achieved within six (6) months of date of employment. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Five (5) years of clinical experience post degree, with two (2) years in college counseling, with demonstrated two (2) years evidence of increasing supervisory and administrative responsibilities over time.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED *Earned doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited program. *Completed APA Accredited internship. *Knowledge of some electronic health record programs *Strong organizational and interpersonal skills PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT *Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
