Job Description
The Associate Counsel Liability Defense will be responsible for handling primary trial responsibility for cases of moderate severity and complexity. This is a full-time position with the option for hybrid remote work in the Fort Lauderdale and Miami, FL areas. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-4 years of litigation experience and be licensed to practice law in the applicable jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel as needed to attend trials, hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings - Utilize office equipment and technology effectively - Communicate professionally in person, over the phone, and through written correspondence - Document files in a clear and concise manner - Follow complex instructions and prioritize tasks effectively - Learn and apply technical and procedural information - Demonstrate successful performance in handling primary trial responsibility for moderate severity and complexity cases
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice law in applicable jurisdictions with good standing and meeting all licensing requirements - 2-4 years of litigation experience preferred - Prior experience in insurance defense or personal injury is a plus
