GENERAL COUNSEL - ASSOCIATE COUNSEL LEVEL C
The NYC Health Hospitals is seeking an experienced attorney to join our team as an Associate Counsel Level C in the Office of Legal Affairs. This is a full-time, regular position with a competitive salary range of $140,000 to $160,000 annually. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in the practice of law, preferably with knowledge of healthcare regulations and procurement processes. Responsibilities:
Serve as in-house counsel to the Supply Chain Services, Pharmacy, and Business Operations groups within the NYC Health Hospitals Corporation. Draft and negotiate commercial contracts for goods, services, software, pharmaceuticals, temporary staffing, and construction and construction-related services. Review all aspects of the procurement process, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements. Assess and mitigate risk to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and contractual requirements. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and legal experts to provide comprehensive legal analysis. Conduct research and draft documents to revise System processes, templates, policies, and assist with litigation disputes. Requirements:
Baccalaureate degree or equivalent, and LLB or JD from an accredited School of Law. Admission to the New York State Bar. At least 3 years of experience in the practice of law, with knowledge of litigation, corporate law, contracts, and procurement processes. Familiarity with HIPAA, labor laws, CMS regulations, anti-kickback laws, FOIL, and public procurement methods. Strong interpersonal, writing, analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft and Google office suites.
