Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic ASSOCIATE CORPORATE COUNSEL to join our legal team. In this role, the individual will review and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including those vital to DBI's distribution, logistics, technology, and marketing business initiatives, as well as support our various business segments on a broad range of commercial transactions. Experience with mergers and acquisitions and/or real estate commercial leases is a plus.
REPORTS TO: Sr. Director, Associate General Counsel
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Draft and negotiate general corporate and commercial contracts including vendor supply agreements, carrier agreements, significant service agreements, master service agreements, software licensing and development agreements, marketing, ecommerce, strategic alliances and/or joint venture, market research and technology and marketing contracts. *Perform due diligence in connection with potential company mergers and acquisitions. *Provide legal advice and support to DSW partners regarding compliance with all applicable laws and/or regulations. *On a daily basis, provide practical business to DSW partners; identify opportunities to minimize risks and process improvements and efficiencies.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE:
*Minimum of 2-3 years' experience, preferably working with a mid to large sized law firm or a retailer.
EDUCATION:
*Licensed to practice in at least one state, preferably Ohio *JD
