Position: Associate Attorney – Litigation Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience Experience: 2-4 years of litigation experience preferred, but all levels of experience will be considered Location: Vermont, with potential for licensure in other states (Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York)
Job Description: We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled attorney to join our team as an Associate Attorney in our litigation department. The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials and a minimum of two to four years of litigation experience, including some courtroom and deposition experience.
Responsibilities: • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents under tight deadlines • Communicate effectively with clients, client representatives, and opposing counsel • Manage pleadings, motions, discovery, and other aspects of litigation as part of a team • Prepare for and participate in trials, hearings, and depositions
Requirements: • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school • Admitted or eligible for admission to the Vermont Bar, with willingness to become licensed in other states as needed • Strong research and writing skills • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively • Experience with courtroom and deposition procedures
