Key Responsibilities: - Handle claims, lawsuits, and transactional matters with supervision from attorneys - Learn, understand, and retain facts and issues related to cases - Pay close attention to detail and anticipate important tasks - Formulate litigation or transaction plans and prepare budgets as needed - Use early and cost-effective approaches to resolve conflicts and close cases - Maintain regular communication with supervising lawyer and present drafts in a timely manner - Produce high-quality work without missing important details
Qualifications: - Must be licensed to practice law in New Mexico - Strong legal writing, research, and oral communication skills - Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities - Minimum 4-5 years of experience in civil litigation - Strong work ethic and self-starting nature - Ability to maintain client confidentiality - Initiative and good judgement in working independently or in a team - Able to work with minimal supervision
