Role and Responsibilities:
- Handle a variety of litigation matters including wrongful death, contract and business disputes, premises liability, and personal injury claims - Manage cases from inception to resolution, including legal strategy, research, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, arguing motions in court, attending mediations, and trial - Work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, businesses, and organizations - Collaborate closely with experienced partners and team members for professional growth and development
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an attorney (Newly barred attorneys with clerking experience welcome to apply!) - Demonstrated experience in civil litigation, preferably within a law firm setting - Experience in the courtroom, taking depositions, and trial experience a plus - Strong legal research and writing skills, with attention to detail - Exceptional communication and advocacy skills, both verbal and written - Ability to manage a caseload independently, while also working collaboratively with team members - Client-focused mindset and a passion for achieving successful outcomes - Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school - Active membership in the State Bar in the jurisdiction in which you will practice law
