Job Description
We are a very busy commercial litigation boutique. We are seeking an associate attorney with at least 3 years of experience (mid-level/senior level) to start immediately (we will review all resumes submitted). This job is for our downtown Miami office. The job is to work primarily with and for Aaron Resnick, Esq.
The right candidate will preferably have (none of the below is required):
3 years of experience litigating complex commercial cases. Overall litigation experience is absolutely required. Both State and Federal court litigation experience. State court litigation experience is required. Extensive research and drafting experience.
High academic credentials from a nationally respected law school and an equally impressive undergraduate degree. Admitted and in good standing with the Florida Bar. Book of business (this is not required, but the Firm will provide resources to build a book of business and it will be expected the attorney attend certain events for the firm). Possess strong writing and analytical skills. Be able to effectively handle caseload. Be committed to exceptional client service. Possess excellent work ethic. Be extremely adept at prioritizing tasks. Work well with support staff.
The anticipated hiring salary range will depend on experience and credentials and a possible discretionary annual bonus, depending on both individual and firm performance.
Although the right applicant must be responsible, conscientious and hard-working, this position does not require typical big law firm hours and attorneys are part of the team. The annual billable target is between 1800-2000 hours. That said, law is not a 9 to 5 job nor is this job. With respect to business generation, there is no expectation that the person hired generates business. However, for an attorney who is capable of generating business, there will be additional compensation.
