Position Overview:
Marshall Dennehey is seeking an associate attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join its Mass Torts & Industry-wide Litigation team in Melville, New York. The successful candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in asbestos litigation.
Responsibilities: • Represent clients in court, before administrative bodies, or in other legal venues • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents • Engage in legal research and writing • Interview witnesses and conduct legal investigations • Prepare and review legal documents • Attend court hearings • Negotiate settlements • Represent clients in court or before administrative bodies • Advise clients on legal matters • Resolve disputes • Monitor changes in relevant laws • Develop case strategies • Prepare and review contracts
Qualifications: • JD Degree from accredited law school • Admission to New York State Bar in good standing • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in asbestos litigation • Excellent analytical and research skills • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines • Ability to develop and maintain positive client relationships
Marshall Dennehey is offering a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $120,000 to the successful candidate. The firm also offers a comprehensive employee benefits package, a new firm funded Lifestyle Account beginning January 2023 entitled “Marshall Associate Advantage”, and a sound future.
