Law Firm Associate Attorney
Smith, Welch, Webb and White, LLC is looking for an Associate Attorney to join their team. This position requires excellent writing skills, a willingness to litigate, and a strong sense of urgency about problem solving, meeting challenging deadlines, and achieving critical goals. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who possesses strong analytical, negotiation, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
The Associate Attorney will be assigned to work at one of the firm's six locations (McDonough, Stockbridge, Jackson, Barnesville, Jackson, Griffin and Peachtree City). This is a full-time, benefits eligible position with a salary range of $55,000 to $65,000 per year.
Responsibilities:
Represent clients in court, before administrative bodies, and in negotiations Analyze legal issues and provide sound legal advice to clients Draft legal documents including motions, pleadings, and contracts Prepare for and attend hearings, trials, mediations, and other legal proceedings Research and analyze laws, regulations, and legal articles Negotiate settlements Identify and exploit legal loopholes to help clients resolve disputes
Qualifications:
Juris Doctorate degree Active license to practice law in the state of Georgia Strong analytical and negotiation skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to understand legal issues and provide sound legal advice Ability to work independently and in a team environment Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines Must submit writing sample with resume
