Job Description
Law Firm, Fraser Watson and Croutch, LLP is looking for an experienced Associate Attorney to join their growing and dynamic litigation firm. The ideal candidate will have litigation experience in matters involving the healthcare industry, and must possess excellent academic credentials as well as strong organizational, writing and analytical skills.
Qualifications
JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school Member of the California State Bar in good standing Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in medical malpractice and/or elder abuse litigation Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to handle cases from start to finish, including taking and defending depositions, drafting complex dispositive motions, and managing document-intensive cases throughout all stages and in preparation for trial Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and legal procedures
Responsibilities
Conduct legal research, prepare pleadings, and participate in all phases of litigation Manage a caseload from start to finish Take and defend depositions Draft and argue motions, including dispositive and discovery motions Attend hearings and trial, as needed Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel Collaborate with colleagues and provide support, as needed
