Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide litigation support to partners and manage own caseload - Draft and review pleadings and discovery - Conduct pretrial motions practice - Meet with clients - Conduct legal research - Represent clients in family law cases in various Northern Virginia courts - Participate in settlement conferences, depositions, and mediations - Advise potential new clients - Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Juris doctorate from an accredited law school - Licensed by Virginia State Bar - 2-5 years of litigation experience - Demonstrated interest in family law - Strong analytical skills - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Proficiency in firm technology and ability to work in a paperless office - Effective time management skills - Ability to transport to and from court and other locations for client representation
