We are currently seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team in Englewood, CO, and bring their expertise to drive impactful legal solutions for our clients.
As an Associate Attorney at McCarthy & Holthus, you will have the opportunity to manage the legal aspects of our firm's litigation practice. This includes portfolio management of an average of 50-75 active litigation cases, with a focus on pretrial, trial, and appellate practice. You will also serve as lead counsel during various stages of litigation and guide operational staff in implementing procedural changes. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to take on additional duties and responsibilities based on your career development and the needs of the firm.
To be considered for this role, you must have a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in Colorado. You should also have at least 3-5 years of experience as lead counsel representing financial institutions in contested litigation. Our ideal candidate will also have admission to practice before all three Colorado federal districts and exceptional communication and organizational skills. Proficiency in legal research applications and experience in managing contested default cases and banking litigation specific to the jurisdiction are also preferred.

In terms of physical demands, this role will require sitting, talking, and hearing on a frequent basis. You should also have specific vision abilities and be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. The work environment is typical of an office setting with a quiet to moderate noise level.
The typical work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However, this is a hybrid position that will require onsite presence in our Centennial, Colorado location 2-3 days per week after a 90-day training period and upon management approval.
