Our firm specializes in a wide range of legal areas including insurance defense, civil rights litigation, governmental and municipal law, business law, commercial disputes, regulatory issues, employment law, education law, and mass torts. We are looking for talented and driven individuals who are passionate about practicing law and have a desire to work on high-profile and complex litigation cases.
As an associate attorney at our law firm, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our lead attorneys on all phases of litigation. This includes conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, attending court hearings and trials, and participating in client meetings and case strategy discussions. We are looking for candidates with at least two years of legal experience, preferably in the areas of law that our firm specializes in. A license to practice in West Virginia is required for this position.
Responsibilities:
Assisting lead attorneys in all phases of litigation Conducting legal research and drafting pleadings and motions Attending court hearings and trials Participating in client meetings and case strategy discussions Maintaining a high level of professionalism and ethical standards in all work
Qualifications:
At least two years of legal experience, preferably in the areas of law our firm specializes in License to practice law in West Virginia Strong research, writing, and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with a team Detail-oriented and organized Adaptable and able to handle a high volume of work
