Responsibilities:
Manage a docket of toxic tort/product liability cases; Conduct legal research and analysis; Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents; Take and defend depositions; Attend court appearances and hearings; Communicate with clients and insurance carriers; Work collaboratively with partners and other attorneys on case strategy and management; Mentor and train junior associates.
Qualifications:
JD from an accredited law school; Current, active license to practice law in New York; Minimum of 1 year experience in civil litigation; Prior toxic tort experience preferred, but not required; Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills; Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines; Strong interpersonal and presentation skills; Proven ability to analyze complex legal issues and produce top quality work; A willingness to be proactive and take ownership of projects and assignments; Experience handling mediations/arbitrations desirable.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary range of $90,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience; Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, dental insurance, 401(k) with match, paid time off, and more.
