Job Description
This is a full-time role for a Litigation Associate. The successful candidate will be an integral part of environmental litigation in impactful, affirmative cases to protect public health and the environment.
Responsibilities will include:
• Legal Research and Writing: Conduct thorough legal and factual research and produce well-written, persuasive legal pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Discovery Management: Manage the discovery process, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, reviewing documents, participating in the preparation of discovery-related motions, and taking and defending depositions.
• Case Strategy: Collaborate with team members to develop and implement case strategies.
• Aggressive Team Player: Take the initiative and work proactively and collaboratively with other team members, including attorneys, paralegals, and support staff, to ensure seamless communication and efficient case management.
The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:
• While we generally seek candidates with 3-5 years of experience, we are not precluding candidates with experience outside of that range.
• An ideal candidate will have a passion for environmental protection. Having a background in environmental sciences is an additional plus.
• Strong research skills, with the ability to analyze and synthesize complex legal and factual information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask on a variety of high-level assignments while continuously producing thoughtful, intelligent, quality work product.
• Eager to take the initiative and drive cases forward.
• Current admittance to the Oklahoma bar or ability to become licensed in Oklahoma is required.
