Do you have a passion for education and a strong background in labor and employment law? AALRR, a top law firm in Southern California, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our Education Law Group in Irvine. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide legal counsel and support to public K-12 schools, community college districts, and related entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior associates and partners to advise district and school administrators on employee management matters - Draft employment-related documents and represent clients in administrative hearings - Conduct impartial investigations into discrimination, harassment, and other allegations - Guide clients in responding to public records requests and provide trainings on relevant legal topics - Conduct legal research and prepare internal memoranda and correspondence to clients
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school - Admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing - 1-2 years of experience in labor and employment law, preferably for educational or public entities - Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills - Litigation and/or administrative hearing experience is a plus - Fluency in Spanish is a plus - Ability to build and maintain effective client relationships - Proven experience managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Salary Information
The base salary for this role ranges from $120,000 to $135,000, depending on factors such as education, skills, and experience. We also offer a bonus program and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, and profit-sharing contributions.
